A COMMUNITY. A PASSION. A LEGACY.

More than just an event

The Chris Brodie Rip'n Ride is an annual freeride jetski event held in Morgan Bay, South Africa, bringing together riders, friends, families and spectators for a weekend of incredible riding, unforgettable memories and a shared passion for the sport. It's is a celebration of friendship, community and a legacy that continues to bring people together.

Christopher John Gordon Brodie

Some people leave behind more than memories. They leave behind friendships, stories, shared passions and moments that stay with us long after they're gone.

Chris was one of those people. His love for jetskiing, the ocean and the people around him is something we continue to celebrate. The memories made, the friendships formed and the time spent together are reminders of a life that meant so much to so many.

For those who knew Chris, his memory lives on in the moments that mattered most. The days spent on the water, the laughter shared with friends, the adventures and the simple joy of being surrounded by the people you love. It's often these moments, the ones that seemed so ordinary at the time, that become the memories we treasure most.

Although Chris is no longer here to share those moments with us, the connections he made and the memories he left behind remain. And through The Chris Brodie Rip'n Ride, we have found a way to keep making new memories while holding on to the ones that mean the most.

More than just an event

The Chris Brodie Rip'n Ride is our way of keeping Chris's memory alive.

What started in 2022 has become an annual gathering of riders, friends and families who come together on the beautiful coastline of Morgan Bay to celebrate life, friendship and a shared love for jetskiing.

It's a weekend filled with everything that makes the freeride community special. Incredible riding, good friends, laughter, stories and memories that will last a lifetime. But beyond the excitement on the water, there is a deeper reason why we come together.

Every year, we gather to remember Chris. To celebrate the time we had with him, the people he brought together and the memories that will always be part of our lives.

As the event continues to grow, so does the community that carries his memory forward.

Our goal for the future

Our hope is that CJGB Rip and Ride will continue for years to come, giving old friends a reason to reunite, new friendships a chance to begin and future generations an opportunity to experience the community that makes this event so special.

Because remembering someone isn't only about looking back. It's also about carrying their memory forward.

We will keep sharing the stories. We will keep making memories. And we will keep riding for Chris.
